3 Steps To Create Online Portfolio Using Github Pages

Digital world demands a digitized documents. Digitizing your profile, you are explicitly representing your identity in a customized desktop environment. Having an online profile website is the best way you can impress your colleague. This will have an immediate impact to the people you want to work with. By presenting your professional ability and marking your identity online.

There are several ways to make a online profile and host it. In this article, I will be teach you to create and host your profile free for lifetime using Github Pages in just 3 steps.

  • HTML(Markup)/Markdown Language

Step1: Create new Repository

Create new repository in github for online portfolio | sTechalon.com

After logging in Github, at the top left side, you will find the New button as shown in the above picture. Click the button and you will be directed to new repository page as shown below.

Tip: Best name for your profile repository suits your GitHub username for eg: **yourusername.github.io**

Step2: Setup Repository

Setup new repository in github for online portfolio| sTechalon.com Let’s pick a theme for your profile. Go to the setting and scroll down the page you will find Github Page as shown below.

Step3: Create Portfolio

Once you choose a theme, you will be redirected to its ‘index.md’ page. This page will be the homepage of your portfolio. Edit this page with suitable content you want in your profile using the same syntax or you can even use the HTML tags.
